Biography
Allen was a competitive High School Allen who qualified for YMCA Nationals three years in a row. In College he was a competitive NCAA swimmer and cross-country runner as well, qualifying for the NCAA nationals all four years in swimming. After college, Allen coached at the collegiate level. Since 1999 Allen has been a head age group youth swim club,, assistant swim coach for NCAA collegiate nationally ranked swim teams, the assistant cross-country coach at the collegiate level, and the head swimming coach at Limestone College, where his Men's team finished #9 in the country at NCAA's and his men's 200 free relay became national champions, setting a national record in the process.
Post college, Allen continued to swim competitively and participated in the swimming Master’s Nationals in 2000 and 2001. Coach Allen is a USA Master’s Swimming All-American and 3 time NJ state record holder. Allen has run 4 marathons (including a 2:59 in the Baltimore Marathon in 2003) multiple of 5k, 10k, 20k road races; and triathlons from sprint to half Iron Man distance (where he raced as a pro), cycling and century ride races.
Coach Allen is a USAT certified coach who has coached beginner triathletes and those who have qualified for the Ironman World Championships.
Endurance sports have become a lifestyle for Allen. "As an athlete and coach I am eager to share my experience and knowledge with other athletes of all ages and ability levels. It will be my honor and privilege to be your coach".

2003 Greater Atlantic Multisport Series - 4th overall in 7 race series (1st M25-29)
2006 Florida’s Great Escape Triathlon - 5th overall (2:04) Escape from Alcatraz qualifier
2006 St. Anthony’s, FL (2:07) 70th overall out of 4,500 (including 52 pro’s in the field)
2006 Escape from Fort Delaware - 2nd overall (2:11)
